Pembroke Strikers is an indoor soccer team Timmy and I put together with his buddies from the 5th grade. It's also my coaching debut along with 2 other rookie coaches. Our emphases are for the kids to have fun playing and to learn and to practice the fundamental skills of the game. ( more ... ) |

The Dream Team I attempt to put together started as a simple concept. But it turned out to be a mind-boggling task. Certainly not because of lack of outstanding players but rather the difficulty of leaving out so many more talented players on an 11-man squad. Over the years of playing and following the game, I have grown to appreciate the greatness of Johan Cruyff as a legendary player and coach. Without a doubt I placed Cruyff as the center of my Dream Team. One of the outstanding aspects of Cruyff's talent I admired most is his ability to envision the importance of a passing game that propels an attacking offense. Many great offensive players, such as Pele and Mardonna exemplifies their gifted individual ability and their leading role in the world stage, but none has the same impact as Cruyff both in the club and international level.
